Product introduction
Self fusing rubber tape is produced from professionally formulated silicone rubber. They combine irreversibly to provide an insulating barrier that protects against moisture, oxidation, ozone and corona, operating over a wide temperature range (-50℃ to 260℃).
Performance advantage

Good temperature resistance
(1) Thermal stability 180℃. At this temperature, the product can be used safely for more than 10 years, saving a lot of after-sales troubles;
(2) Temperature resistance -50℃~260℃;
(3) At 260℃, the service life is up to 2000 hours;
(4) The maximum temperature is 350℃.
Good insulation performance
(1) Volume resistivity: 1013 ohm·cm/ min.(ASTM D257)
(2) Resistance voltage 25KV/mm;
(3) Even wrapped in sharp complex shapes for four thorough fits are still good. Excellent waterproof seal, keep smooth and even, maintain high insulation resistance in high humidity environment;
(4) The inherent flame retardant does not have electrical conductivity when the combustion material forms ash;
(5) For occasions requiring complete flame retardant.

Good adhesion
(1) Good adhesion performance, at room temperature, self-bonding can be achieved within 24 hours;
(2) The surface is not sticky, is not bonded to the contact point, and is not bonded to other surfaces or substrates;
(3) Self-bonding strength: 50g/mm.
Applicable Scope
Self Fusing Rubber Tape (also called self-amalgamating rubber tape) leverages its unique property of fusing into a seamless, airtight/watertight rubber layer when stretched and wrapped-no adhesive residue, no external heat required. Its applicable scope is defined by scenarios demanding flexible, durable, and chemical/weather-resistant bonds, spanning specific substrates and use conditions:

Substrate Compatibility
1.Metals: Bonds to copper, aluminum, steel, and galvanized metals-ideal for electrical wires, pipe joints, and metal fittings (no corrosion risk, as the fused rubber acts as a barrier).
2.Rubber/Plastics: Adheres to rubber hoses, PVC pipes, and HDPE surfaces-sealing cracks or connecting components without damaging the base material.
3.Fabrics: Compatible with synthetic fabrics (nylon, polyester) used in industrial hoses or protective covers-repairing tears while maintaining flexibility.
4.Glass/ceramics: Forms a tight seal on glass pipes (e.g., laboratory equipment) or ceramic fixtures-resisting chemical spills and temperature fluctuations.
Environmental & Functional Boundaries
1.Temperature Range: Performs reliably from -50°C to 150°C (continuous use), making it suitable for frozen outdoor pipes and high-heat machinery (e.g., engine bays).
2.Pressure Resistance: Withstands up to 10 bar (145 psi) of internal pressure-sufficient for low-to-medium pressure pipes (water, air, hydraulic lines).
3.Chemical Exposure: Resists oils, fuels, coolants, and mild acids (e.g., battery acid)-safe for automotive, marine, and industrial fluid systems.
4.Weather & Water Resistance: Achieves IPX8 waterproofing (submersion up to 1m for 24 hours) and UV stability-ideal for outdoor or underwater repairs (e.g., pool pipes, marine cables).

Applicable Fields
The tape's versatility and durability make it indispensable across industries where temporary or permanent, residue-free sealing/repair is critical:
a. Electrical & Electronics
Wire Insulation: Repairs damaged electrical wire jackets (e.g., in power tools, household wiring) and insulates splices-fused rubber provides dielectric strength (up to 20 kV/mm), preventing short circuits.
Battery Maintenance: Seals battery terminals (car, marine, industrial batteries) to protect against corrosion from acid leaks and moisture.
Electronics Protection: Covers exposed components in outdoor devices (e.g., security cameras, solar panels) to shield from rain, dust, and UV rays.
b. Automotive & Marine
Hose & Pipe Repairs: Temporarily or permanently seals leaks in radiator hoses, fuel lines, and coolant pipes-resists high temperatures and automotive fluids.
Underbody Protection: Wraps exposed wires or fittings under vehicles/marine vessels to prevent damage from road salt, seawater, and debris.
Gasket Replacement: Acts as a temporary gasket for minor leaks in engine covers or pump housings-fuses to create a tight, flexible seal.
c. Industrial & Manufacturing
Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems: Seals joints in low-pressure hydraulic hoses and air compressor lines-prevents air/water ingress and fluid leaks.
Machinery Maintenance: Repairs small cracks in rubber components (e.g., conveyor belts, machine gaskets) and insulates exposed metal parts to avoid rust.
Chemical Processing: Wraps pipes carrying mild chemicals (e.g., detergents, coolants) to prevent leaks and protect workers from contact.
d. Residential & DIY
Plumbing Repairs: Seals leaks in household water pipes (copper, PVC) and garden hoses-no need to turn off water temporarily for small fixes.
Outdoor Equipment: Repairs torn covers (grill covers, patio furniture cushions) and insulates outdoor lighting wires-withstands rain, snow, and temperature swings.
Emergency Fixes: Acts as a temporary seal for broken buckets, damaged pool liners, or leaking watering cans-residue-free removal when permanent repairs are possible.
e. Aerospace & Aviation (Light Use)
Cabin & Cargo Area Repairs: Seals minor gaps in non-critical rubber components (e.g., cargo door gaskets, interior trim) during maintenance-lightweight and compliant with low-outgassing standards.
