How to store tape correctly
Environmental condition
1. Temperature and humidity: Tape should be stored in an environment with moderate temperature and humidity. The ideal storage temperature is about 21 ° C and the humidity is about 50%. However, personal storage does not have to be too harsh, just make sure it is at normal room temperature. High temperature and humidity will accelerate the aging process of the tape and reduce its viscosity. Therefore, keep away from heat sources and humid environments, such as near heat source equipment, bathrooms or wet basements.
2. Light: long-term direct sunlight will increase the surface temperature of the tape, resulting in weaker viscosity and aging of the material. Therefore, tape should be stored in a dark, cool place, such as drawers, cabinets or storage bins, away from Windows and direct sunlight.
Storage mode
1. Roll placement: Tape should be placed in rolls to avoid folding and bending to reduce damage to tape materials. At the same time, the drum should be kept flat when stored, and heavy objects should not be placed above it to prevent deformation of the tape.
2. Regular turning: For tape that has been stored for too long, it is recommended to turn once a quarter to ensure that its internal materials are evenly ventilated and moisture-proof.
3. Sealed packaging: Use sealed bags or sealed boxes to store the tape to reduce its contact with external dust, pollutants and moisture. This helps keep the tape clean and dry.
Matters needing attention
1. Avoid contamination: tape should avoid contact with chemical substances such as acid and alkali oil organic solvents during storage, so as to avoid harmful chemical reactions, affecting its viscosity and use effect.
2. Check and maintenance: Periodically check the tape storage environment to ensure that it meets the preceding requirements. At the same time, check whether the tape is aging, brittle, or disadhesive. If any exception occurs, replace the tape or adjust the storage environment in time.
3. Reasonable selection: Different types of tape have different properties and uses. When selecting tape, reasonable selection should be made according to specific needs and environmental conditions. At the same time, in the process of use should follow the recommendations of the product manual and standard operation methods.
